Neighbourhood Youth Outreach & Drop-In Youth Centres
Meeting Youths Where They Are
Our community outreach work begins by meeting young people where they are, whether in their neighbourhoods, at local gathering spots or through activities that bring them together.
Our drop-in centres provide welcoming spaces where youths can spend time, meet friends, try new things and connect with youth workers in a relaxed environment.
From sports and gaming to workshops and everyday conversations, activities give youths a reason to keep coming back. Over time, these regular interactions create space for stronger relationships and deeper conversations when they are needed.

The Collective @ Woodlands
Developed under the national SG Youth Plan in partnership with the National Youth Council (NYC) and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), The Collective @ Woodlands is one of 12 pilot Third Spaces offering young people a welcoming place to hang out, explore their interests, build friendships and connect with others in their community.

Experiential Learning & Mentoring Programme (ELMP)
Learning Through Experience, Growing Through Relationships
Through the Experiential Learning & Mentoring Programme (ELMP), we engage youths in the community through hands-on activities and mentoring. These experiences provide opportunities to develop life skills and resilience, while giving our youth workers time to get to know each young person beyond a formal programme setting.

Mobile & Online Outreach
Reaching Youths Beyond Our Centres
Young people spend their time in many different spaces, and our outreach has evolved with them.
Through the Mobile Outreach Support Team (M.O.S.T.), YGOS connects with young people in public and community spaces, using an electric outreach van funded by SP Group.
Cyber Outreach, also supported by SP Group through Community Chest, extends that same approach online, allowing our team to engage young people through gaming and digital communities.
Whether in person or online, what matters is building genuine connections and letting young people know there's someone they can turn to when they need support.

Preventive
From Early Engagement to Positive Youth Engagement
Not every young person will walk through the door asking for support. Sometimes, the first step is simply being present in the places where they already spend their time.
YGOS reaches out to youths across neighbourhoods, youth spaces and online communities, creating opportunities to connect, take part and form trusted relationships with our youth workers.

Our Impact Outcomes
Our preventive work focuses on three key outcomes:
Reach & Engage
Connect with young people in their communities, youth spaces and online, creating opportunities for positive engagement.
Connect & Mentor
Build trusted relationships that give young people access to guidance, encouragement and support.
Equip & Empower
Create opportunities for youths to develop life skills, discover their strengths and make positive choices.
Why Outreach Matters
Sometimes Support Starts Before Someone Asks for It
Community outreach gives us the opportunity to get to know young people early, before challenges become more difficult to manage.
A conversation during a game, a familiar face at the centre or a youth worker who keeps showing up may seem like small things. But these everyday interactions can be where trust begins.
And when a young person does need help, they already know someone they can speak to.
