Experiential Learning & Mentoring Programme (ELMP)
Learning Through Experience. Growing Through Relationships.
The Experiential Learning & Mentoring Programme (ELMP) is a community-based programme that combines hands-on experiences with mentoring to support youths in their personal and social development.
Through activities, shared experiences and consistent relationships with mentors, youths have opportunities to discover their strengths, develop life skills and grow in resilience.

About ELMP
How ELMP Supports Youths
ELMP gives youths opportunities to learn through doing.
Through experiential activities, youths are encouraged to try new things, work with others and reflect on their experiences. Mentoring complements these activities by giving them consistent support from someone who takes the time to get to know them.
Together, these experiences help youths develop practical life skills, strengthen their resilience and grow in confidence.

HOW ELMP WORKS
Experiential Learning
Youths take part in activities that encourage them to explore, participate and learn through experience.
Mentoring
Regular mentoring gives youths a consistent person to talk to, learn from and turn to when they need support.
Personal Development
Throughout the programme, youths have opportunities to develop life skills, resilience, confidence and a better understanding of themselves and others.
Mentoring
Building Relationships Through Mentoring
Mentoring is a key part of ELMP.
By spending time together consistently, mentors get to know each young person and provide encouragement and support as they work through different experiences and challenges.
These relationships also give youths a trusted person they can speak openly with when they need someone to listen.
