In an inspiring example of corporate social responsibility, Acadian Asset Management has partnered with YGOS to make a lasting impact on Singapore's youth.

We sat down with Mr. Francis Seah, Managing Director of Acadian Asset Management Singapore Pte Ltd, to explore this partnership and its far-reaching effects.

"We do not know what the future holds, but we know that youths hold the future of Singapore," says Mr. Seah. This belief, he explains, drives Acadian's commitment to diversity and community outreach in Singapore, aligning perfectly with YGOS's mission to nurture future leaders.

Mr. Seah describes how Acadian's volunteering philosophy has evolved to emphasize active engagement. As signatories to CEO Action for D&I and the CFA Institute Diversity and Inclusion Code, they've moved beyond financial support to foster direct interactions between their employees and YGOS youth.

Sharing a success story, Mr. Seah recounts how Acadian's staff chose to host YGOS at their Asia Square office instead of their traditional year-end company dinner. This event, he notes, provided youth with insights into various roles in asset management, inspiring them to reflect on their futures.

According to Mr. Seah, the partnership has reinforced Acadian's belief in long-term strategic engagements with community organisations. He emphasises their aim to address opportunity gaps and improve economic equity through such sustained collaborations.

Mr. Seah articulates Acadian's view on these partnerships as a way to deliver meaningful outcomes to the community. He stresses the importance of finding a good match between sponsor and beneficiary, giving full credit to the amazing work of Acadian's volunteer champions like Mr. Bernard Sim and Ms. Melinda Koncz, as well as YGOS staff for the success of this initiative.

Looking ahead, Mr. Seah outlines Acadian's aim to make an impactful difference to YGOS and the youths they support, aligning with their vision of being an outstanding corporate citizen. He hopes to broaden their social and community impact in Singapore through such initiatives.

Mr. Seah proudly notes that the partnership has sparked increased employee interest in active volunteering. Events like those at the Ang Mo Kio center, he says, have fostered a sense of connection and fulfillment among Acadian's team, encouraging more employees to get involved in community activities.

Through Mr. Seah's insights, it's clear that Acadian's partnership with YGOS exemplifies how corporate-nonprofit collaborations can create meaningful change. By investing in youth and fostering diversity and inclusion, they're not just shaping futures—they're building a stronger, more inclusive Singapore.
