Featured on CNA as a New Model for Digital Youth Engagement
YGOS Cyber Outreach has officially launched and it has already made the news.
Recently featured on CNA, YGOS Cyber Connect spotlighted how gaming and digital platforms are being used as intentional tools to reach youths where they already spend much of their time: online. The feature marked more than a media moment. It signalled a shift in how youth work must evolve in a digital-first world.
Why Cyber Outreach Matters Now
For many young people today, the digital space is not secondary to real life, it is real life.
Friendships, communities, and identities are increasingly formed through gaming platforms, social channels, and online spaces. Yet for some youths, especially those who feel disconnected or withdrawn, these same spaces can become isolating.
YGOS Cyber Outreach exists to enter these digital environments with purpose to create safe, relational spaces where connection can begin and support can grow naturally.
From Concept to Commitment
Cyber Connect, anchored by a Mobile Legends tournament involving 12 youth teams, served as a tangible starting point for this initiative. But the programme goes far beyond a single event.
It demonstrated how shared digital interests can open doors to trust, conversation, and ultimately, pathways back into community and face-to-face engagement when youths are ready.

Launching the YGOS Cyber Outreach Team
The launch of Cyber Outreach also introduced a dedicated YGOS Cyber Outreach Team, formed to sustain long-term digital engagement rather than one-off interactions.
This initiative is made possible through the generous support of SP Group, who contributed $850,000 through Community Chest. Their partnership enables YGOS to invest in infrastructure, platforms, content and training to build consistent digital touchpoints for youths who might otherwise remain unseen.

Supported by Community and Sector Partners
We were honoured to have Mr Xie Yao Quan, Advisor to the Jurong Central Grassroots Organisations, join us as Guest of Honour, affirming the importance of adapting youth work to today’s realities.
The launch was further strengthened by collaboration with fellow youth organisations, including Fei Yue and Reach Youth, reflecting a shared commitment across the sector to connect meaningfully with the digital generation.
Beyond the Screen
Cyber Outreach does not replace physical youth work. It complements it.
Our approach begins online, but the ultimate goal is still a face-to-face relationship. Building trust is key to deeper engagement, mentorship, and in-person connection when appropriate.
For an increasing number of youths, online spaces are the only places they are currently willing or able to engage. Therefore, meeting them is no longer optional, but essential.
Looking Ahead
The official launch of YGOS Cyber Outreach marks the beginning of a long-term strategy to reimagine youth engagement in a digital age.
Every hidden youth deserves a chance to be seen again.
Cyber Outreach is one way YGOS is choosing to step into that responsibility, thoughtfully, intentionally, and with hope.
